Gemini

Gemini is the multimodal foundation-model family Google DeepMind launched in late 2023, plus the consumer assistant built on top of it. The family includes Gemini Pro alongside lighter and heavier variants; it handles text, images, audio, and video natively. Deep integration with the Google ecosystem — Workspace, Android, Search — is what most clearly distinguishes it from ChatGPT or Claude Sonnet. Its long-context and Multimodal capabilities place it firmly in the frontier tier.
